It was 1992 when Joan Pons decided to follow the family tradition initiated by his father, Miquel Pons Sureda. This started the legacy of the company dedicated to the manufacture of shoes which we now call Guelmi shoes. On our island, there is a deep-rooted shoemaking tradition. For this reason, we create comfortable and elegant products in an artisanal way for men and women. And as it could not be missing, it was a few years ago when we decided to innovate by also adding to our catalog the typical “avarcas” from Menorca.
What makes us different?
Our feet are the foundation of our health. For this reason, we have characterized ourselves from the first moment by taking care of the choice of materials in detail. We have a specialty, the slippers, that's why we are experts in offering that comfort and lightness that we so need. In this way, offering modern footwear without losing the quality of the artisan genre is an easy and indispensable task. It should be noted that the “avarcas” we make have the guarantee mark "Avarca de Menorca".
